Should I Go To A Doctor?

  |   1st Pillar Life (Alianza), 2nd Pillar Life (Alianza), 3rd Pillar Life (Alianza), Uncategorized, Unveiled Power - by Alianza   |   2 Comments

As I have stated before, I/Unveiled Life do not believe doctors are bad, and neither are people who go to see them. The idea that seeing a doctor – or that doctors themselves – are bad has been an idea that has been pushed onto certain segments of the members of the Body of Christ over the years. This is not fair to those who are growing in their faith levels because it puts undue burden on them and may even cause damage.

Unveiled Life, its employees, directors and founders have not and never will make a recommendation against any person going to a doctor if needed. In addition, we never advise or imply to our staff, volunteers, students or listeners that they should tell someone not go to a doctor if needed.

What we teach is that if a Christian is able to believe and not waver, then the healing will manifest because that is exactly what the Bible says. In the event that a Christian attempts to believe for healing and a healing does not manifest, then that person should seek professional medical help if it is needed and “live to fight another day.”

Now a few out there may wonder how we could say such a thing. To you I say this: You submit your children to education (even if home-schooled); you do not trust God to supernaturally educate your children in earthly matters. You also work jobs to earn money so you can eat and have a home (you don’t trust God to just drop food in your mouths or to build you a home). You also drive cars to get places (you’re not trusting God to translate you supernaturally). Healing is like this too.

If you are able to be teleported then wonderful! If you are seeking to learn how to be teleported, then wonderful! But, until you figure it out, DRIVE A VEHICLE.

If you are able to believe God to drop “manna” from Heaven to feed you then wonderful! If you are seeking to learn how to believe God successfully for this, then wonderful! But, until you figure it out, GET A JOB.

If are able to be taught natural earthly things via revelation from the Holy Spirit then wonderful! If you are in the process of learning how to do such, then wonderful! But, in the meantime GET EDUCATED so you don’t have to live on the streets (unless you want to. lol)

In the same way:
If you are able to get healed – or to get someone healed – supernaturally, then wonderful! If you are in the process of learning how to do so, then wonderful! But, in the meantime go see a doctor instead of dying! And do not forbid others to see a doctor if they are dying. If you get them healed then everyone will know it, including them. It will be obvious.

Growth and wisdom are as much a part of the lives we should live as are faith and trust.

“Be wise as a serpent but innocent as a dove”
(Mt 10:16)

“Do not forsake wisdom and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you”
(Proverbs 4:6)

These above are words from the same God who also said:

“IF you say to the mountain be removed into the sea, and doubt not, THEN it will happen”
(Mark 11:23)

“believers will lay hands on the sick and they will recover”. (Mark 16:18)

What does this mean in the light of 2 Chronicles 16:12 (Asa, King of Judah who was sick but did not seek the LORD, but doctors only and died) or Jeremiah 17:5 (see below). Remember Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” meaning, have knowledge of what 2 Chronicles 16:12 is really saying. It is saying Asa, who previously robbed the House of God for money to pay off his enemy instead of trusting God for victory, later also never even gave thought to seek the Lord when he had a disease. Asa was king in the days the Covenant was being established. He knew God had delivered him before, and then, because his heart went cold toward God, he trusted in his own devices to protect the people of the Lord. A king in the days of an established Covenant in the land of God is at another level of responsibility than the “man on the street”. What he did is not on the same level with a Christian who sees a doctor because he failed to get someone, or themselves, healed.

Also, in Jeremiah 17:5 it says;

“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD.”

The context is that the people had turned to idols {Jeremiah 17:2 says “demon powers”). These were demon powers that the heathen nations around them (mankind) were worshiping. The people of God had come to trust mankind’s ways, which was trusting in demon powers, which indeed appealed to the fleshly way of thinking. This was criminal. It is not on the same level with a Christian seeing a doctor because they failed to get someone, or themselves, healed.

The Final Point:

We should trust Him. Indeed, we should! At the same time, if we trust Him, then we will also trust His Scriptures. And, those Scriptures put the burden of being/getting healed squarely on the shoulders of the believer to believe and not doubt in order for the power to be manifested. If we really trust Him, then we will know we must also grow to trust our ability to believe without wavering. And, while any of His people can do that from time to time, not many have grown to the place where they can do it 100% of the time.

So, if one is dying or seriously sick, and they have attempted to believe God without wavering but so far they have not been able to manifest the healing, then they need to “live to fight another day” by going to see a doctor. The fact that they chose FIRST to trust what God has said reveals they have a heart that really does seek to trust Him! And, they want to grow to be able to operate in healing. That is their heart, and their first thought of seeking Him to be healed showed it. The king in 2 Chronicles 16:12 did not have that kind of heart and proved it repeatedly.

I trust this brings understanding to Unveiled Life’s and my stance on the matter.

Blessings & Freedom on you as you seek to grow in your trust toward Him more and more!

I am a leader of a church in Southampton UK, I am also part of a so called apostolic group called Kingdom Connections also in the UK. This is great but since listening to your teachings I am deeply challenged both in my own prayer life & my understanding of what living the normal christian life looks like. My heart is unhinged by your words in how to live life in it’s fullness caused by our response to the Holy Spirit, walking with Him & believing for that unfolding glory being is revealed through us. Thank you.

Thank you, Jeff for taking the time to write this post. This past month there has been an issue that even while praying and reading the Bible, I had zero rest. Yesterday I told God, whatever was right to let me know. I only wanted to please Him but I couldn’t deal with this nagging condemnation. I was getting this guilt from each way of the decision . Today I open email and you are writing exactly to the sirtuation in my life. I praise you Father for using Jeff to help me! I thank you, Jeff for willing taking the time to write this out. Blessings to you, my brother!
