Powerfully Simple Key: “Abiding Thoughts”

  |   1st Pillar Life (Alianza), Unveiled Power, Unveiled Power - by Alianza   |   1 Comment

Great Power is Found in Mastering Basic Things, Not Complicated Ones.

This is one of those basic things:

Just as one cannot follow a map going north and arrive at a destination that is south of them, so too is it true that one cannot follow a path of thinking and become anything opposite of that thinking. (“so a man thinks in his heart so is he”)

So many folks want to walk in the fullness of Christ, unto unlimited supernatural glory, but do not want to surrender their thought life to the fullness of what Christ is, unto unlimited obedient reverence. So many folks want to be able to manifest God’s power which comes through an unwavering faith, but do not want to unwaveringly believe God’s word. I think the reason is that many times Christians do not realize how important their thought life is. There’s not been much mainstream teaching on it in a generation.

I have the testimonies I have because I treat my thoughts like most people treat their food and money. I KNOW what thoughts, over time, can do!! Let me give you a current practical example of what I mean:

In order for my mind to be able to come down to a common level of thinking so I could teach pillar 1 and 2, I had to spend about 6 months forcing myself out of the strong place in Christ that I have know so well.  So, while I’m here in this low place I can teach pretty good because I now think in carnal terms again.  But, the power I am walking in, in some areas, is a tiny fraction of what I know how to walk in otherwise – and, when this school is done, I will start the process of heading back to that place.   Most Christians do not even have a grid for this understanding. Which, is one of the main reasons so few Christians are walking in the promise of John 14:12.

The Point?

These next three short, simple, lines are so true that we must all trust it and walk in it, for if we do not then we will never walk in the fullness of Christ as referenced in places such as John 14:12:

Behold and therefore Become. (2 Cor 3:18)
Meditation* and therefore Manifestation. (John 14:21)
Abide and therefore Ask! (John 15)

[*’meditation’ means to meditate on Christ’s teachings, and the Holy Spirit’s leadings on your heart/conscience]

THIS truth is the backbone of the Body of Christ, which holds everything else we do and are, as Christians, together – and also allows the Word to work in our lives. When we all know this, AND live this, then we will see a mighty revival sweep the land because we will have first BECOME a mighty revival!

John 15:4-10
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. 9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”

Be Blessed, in Him, mighty ones!

This is SIMPLE and POWERFUL! Thank you. When one discovers that sweet place of Communion with the Holy Spirit, that place of Light in the Father and that place of Flowing Love in Christ, it is hard to get one away from staying in that place. The trick is allowing one’s heart to seek such a relationship and giving the time to recognize and assimilate it.

John 15: 4-10 always gives me this imagery: Jesus being Light – spotless and uneclipsed – in order to abide (as in stay hidden within) in Him, we need to be Light – spotless and uneclipsed. And we cannot become that in our own strength but He leads our faith to the victory line. YET, we refuse to ASK Him this. We refuse to set the resolve. We stay in Inertia because it means to give up the flesh in the fires of the consuming Light. May His Light consume us in entirety.
